    Trio Mug E-Bike Rider in Riverside Park

    A 30-year-old man told police that at 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, he was riding his e-bike in Riverside Park when he realized he was being followed by three men on three mopeds. His pursuers cut in front of him at Riverside Dr. and West 103rd St. and surrounded him. They then pushed him to the ground and started kicking and punching him. One held a knife to the victim’s neck and said, “Give me all your things, or I’m going to stab you!” The other two suspects hit the victim on the head from behind and took his property. The trio fled the scene, and an EMS team treated the victim. Stolen items included cash, a Samsung S8 phone, Arrow 10 e-bike, winter coat and wallet, totaling $1,761.

    Daughter Arrested after Stealing Mother’s Wallet

    A 56-year-old woman reported that at 12:36 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, her 28-year-old daughter took her wallet containing a debit card inside their home at 55 West 100th St. near Manhattan Ave. The daughter then left her mother’s room, placing the wallet in her bag. When the mother tried to get her wallet back her daughter scratched her eyes with a fingernail, causing redness and pain. Antoninette Cornick was soon arrested and charged with robbery.

    Young Woman Robbed in Subway Station

    According to police, at 1:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, a 26-year-old woman was sitting on a bench inside the subway station at Central Park West and West 86th St. using her phone when a man snatched it from her hand. The man then grabbed her purse and forced it out of the victim’s hand after a struggle. He fled the station, and fortunately, the victim had sustained no injuries. An MTA maintenance worker recovered the purse, but various items were missing. These included an iPhone 12, a black wallet, a credit card, an ID card and a portable charger, totaling $1,080.

    Man Jumped for a PlayStation 5

    A 36-year-old man stated that at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, he was jumped by an unknown man at 201 West 93rd St. near Amsterdam Ave., suffering a laceration inside his mouth and a swollen left eye. The victim reported that no weapons were involved, but he also refused to fill out a police report and did not cooperate with police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside for treatment. The items stolen included $30 in cash and a PlayStation 5 video game console, making a total of $530.

    Police Nab Woman Who Assaulted Senior on Street

    Police reported that at 5:21 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, an 84-year-old woman was walking to a local dollar store when a 59-year-old female stranger approached her at Broadway and West 99th St. and started to punch her in the left eye, causing pain and swelling. The victim refused medical attention at the precinct station house, and Esther Spencer was arrested and charged with assault.
