Watching Eclipse Atop a $16.5M Penthouse
When you get the last eclipse donut boxes from Krispy Kreme you know it is a special party.
A bunch of top NYC realtors descended on a $16.5 dollar penthouse for sale to enjoy the experience and talk industry. The 2,260sq. ft exterior terrace was a dynamic spot to witness the awe of changing shadows. Pellegrino, fruit and Krispy Krème eclipse donuts and of course the eclipse glasses adorned the outside bar.
“The eclipse was a magical moment today to acknowledge and connect to the universe. I loved being with my neighbors and texting friends knowing we were all witnessing the moment together. Outdoor space in NYC is so special, but I’d love watching the eclipse with New Yorkers anywhere! “ said, Julie Dermer, Master Instructor SoulCycle.
Lesley Schulhof from the Corcoran Group expressed “It was a collective effervescence experience... during a time of such discord this is an event that united us all !!
“I loved today’s eclipse because as I was walking home, I saw people of all ages stopping on the street to all enjoy the same phenomenon; I feel like that happens so rarely these days added Stacey Spanedda an agent with Douglas Elliman. It was so fun to be with colleagues, meet new people, see the eclipse and an amazing apartment!”
Kim Shankman from Cherry Hill NJ who works with Douglas Elliman said, “the eclipse was very special because it only happens so rarely. It was amazing to be on a roof deck and look around and see so many New Yorkers also on their roofs. It was a very special way to bring everyone together.”
When native New Yorker Geoffrey Potter, was asked if he was enjoying the eclipse, he said “What could be better hooky than to watch the moon slide across the sun while munching donuts on a warm Spring day.”
“The eclipse represented a fresh start, much like the upcoming real estate market shifting back to a vibrant seller’s market offering promising opportunities and a brighter future in the housing market” commented Matt Bajek, with Nest Seekers.
Jennifer Kalish, who hosted, shared, “The eclipse and the earthquake last week are reminders of vastness and power of our universe and the trivial nature or our brief existence. So may as well put yourself into this gorgeous open plan 5BR 4.5 bath with 360 views! The eclipse symbolizes a time of transformation, change or a renewal. It is a reminder to reflect on your life and let go of past patterns. It is a symbol of balance representing the interplay between light and darkness and the need to find harmony.”
As a realtor with Sotheby’s International Realty, Heather Stein [Editor’s note: full disclosure: she is the writer of this article] saw the eclipse highlight all facets of New Yorkers, realtors and Mother Nature coming together and closing the day together.
