New York City Council Member Erik Bottcher has announced that his office will once again be collecting toys for their annual Holiday Toy Drive between Monday Dec. 9th and Friday Dec. 13th.

“We will be collecting new, unwrapped toys suitable for children aged 3 months to 17 years old,” Bottcher specified in a newsletter that went out on Dec. 5th.

Toys can be dropped off at the following locations:

Bottcher’s District Office, located on 224 West 30th Street, Suite 1206 (between Seventh and Eighth Avenues) from 12:00 P.M. to 5 P.M..

West Village Houses Management Office, on 642 Washington Street (on the corner of Washington and Christopher Street) from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M..

Penn South Security Office, which is between Eighth and Ninth Avenues on 312 West 25th Street, at any time.

And the Manhattan Plaza Building Lobbies at 400 and 484 West 43rd Street, between Ninth and Tenth Avenues, 24 hours daily.

Toys dropped off on Friday, Dec. 13th, should be dropped off before 2 P.M..

The donated toys will be delivered to Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen — the city’s largest emergency food program and the largest soup kitchen in New York State — across from Chelsea Park on 9th Ave. Last year, Bottcher’s office distributed over 1,000 toys to local children in need for the soup kitchen, and this year they “hope to collect even more,” Bottcher wrote in the newsletter.
