A new branch of Wells Fargo opened on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Lenox Ave. and 125th Street with an allday open house. The event highlighted local business and cultural organizations in the Harlem neighborhood, with live jazz music from the Manhattan School of Music, the Apollo Theater Education Programs, WBLS, the Ronald Draper Art Experience, the Harlem Swing Dance Society, samba music from Fresh Youth Initiatives and a fashion show by the Harlem Underground. The bank's ribboncutting also unveiled a community mural.
