RITZY RING STOLEN

A West 70th Street woman told police that her $20,000 sapphire and platinum diamond ring was stolen from her jewelry box on Aug. 27. The 37-year-old victim noticed the ring was missing after the cleaning woman went home. After the theft was discovered, police said that the victim called previous employers and found that the cleaning woman had been fired in the past for theft.
