Police Seek Man in Attempted Sex Assault

Police released surveillance video of a man they believe tried to sexually assault a women on the Upper West Side Sunday, Aug. 29.

At approximately 3:40 a.m., police believe the man in his mid-20s followed the victim into a building on Amsterdam Avenue within the 24 precinct, which stretches from West 86th Street to West 110th. Inside the building, the man supposedly threw the woman to the ground and attempted to sexually assault her. He fled south on Amsterdam Avenue.
