Stolen Credit Cards

There were several incidents of stolen wallets reported to the 20th Precinct. July 3, a 42-year-old Upper West Side woman realized her credit card was missing since she had last seen it while in Central Park. When she called to cancel the card, the pickpocket had already made several charges totaling $1,004.13.

A 35-year-old Upper West Side woman had her wallet stolen July 8 while at the Children’s Place on 2183 Broadway and West 77th Street. She told police around noon that her son noticed a pocket in the back of the stroller was open. Her wallet contained $20 cash and there was an attempted transaction on her credit card.

A 34-year-old Middletown, N.Y., woman reported her wallet stolen July 6. She told police that the wallet was in her backpack. After leaving a class on West 76th Street and Broadway, she realized the wallet, which included $80 cash, was missing. Also, unauthorized transactions were made on her credit card.
